Deborah Bronston-Culp ’80

Deb Bronston-Culp is Managing Partner and co-founder of Samothrace Partners, an early-stage investment firm focused on backing innovative companies led by diverse management teams. Previously, Deb was COO and CFO of Declare, dedicated to helping organizations attract, develop, and retain exceptional women executives through merit-based executive placement, leadership development programs, and influential networking communities.

Deb previously spent more than two decades on Wall Street, holding senior leadership positions across the financial services industry. She served as Managing Director and Deputy Director of North American Equity Research at Morgan Stanley, Director of U.S. Equity Research at NatWest Securities and held several executive roles Prudential Securities including Associate Director of Global Equity Research, Director of Analytical Training, and top-ranked equity research analyst.

Deb earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from UC San Diego and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. In 2003, she was elected to the Board of Trustees and subsequently chaired the Investment and Finance Committee from 2019 to 2025, where she helped guide the institution's endowment to top-percentile performance. She currently co-chairs the Chancellor's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council.
